WhimSpin is an independent, family-owned business based in the DC metro area. We started WhimSpin for a pretty simple reason: we couldn't find enough graphic tees that matched our particular sense of humor.

You know the kind of shirt we're talking about. The one you spot and immediately think, “That’s me.” Or maybe even better, “Oh, that’s absolutely them.”

So we started making them.

Original Designs for the Things That Make You, You

Our designs are created in-house by our small family team and inspired by the wonderfully specific things people care about. Niche interests. Odd little obsessions. Clever wordplay. Books and mythology. Animals and nature. Parenting and teaching. Travel and hobbies. Identity and community. A healthy dose of whimsy and satire. And, every now and then, something worth making a little noise about.

Some WhimSpin designs are witty. Some are weird. Some are art-forward, expressive, or quietly meaningful. Some are occasionally rebellious. A few require exactly the right kind of person to understand why they’re funny.

We consider that a feature.

We aren’t interested in chasing every passing trend or filling the shop with branded fandom merchandise. We’d rather create original graphic tees and gifts that you choose because the design genuinely feels like you and that you’ll still want around after this week’s internet obsession has moved on.

Clothing can be more than something you put on in the morning. A graphic tee can share an interest, reveal your sense of humor, signal something you care about, start a conversation, or help you find another member of your particular little tribe.

Designed by Us, Made for You

Every WhimSpin design is created by our family team. Our products are then made to order by our U.S.-based production partners rather than sitting in a warehouse waiting for someone to buy them.

Making products to order helps us avoid warehousing large amounts of extra inventory and allows us to offer more designs, sizes, and color choices. It also means most orders require approximately 1–2 business days of production time before shipping. Production times can be longer during busy gift-giving seasons, so please keep that in mind when ordering for a particular date.

Most of our standard adult graphic tees are printed on Bella + Canvas 3001 unisex shirts, giving our designs a consistent, comfortable fit with plenty of color choices. Our all-over print apparel is produced differently using cut-and-sew construction.
